This Black Oiled Nubuck Leather Safety Shoe has a steel toe with Goodyear Storm Welt construction. The lining is brushed nylon and the insole is wrapped cushion. The midsole is rubber and there is a fiberglass shank. The outsole is Oil-Resisting EVA Lug . These are built by a certified ISO 9001 American company. Finally, these have slip resistance with a CAN/CSA-Z195 18,000 Volts Electrical Shock Resistance Standard and a ASTM F 2413-05 M/I/75/C/75 Steel Toe. Thought that I was buying quality US made boots. Although they are US made they are not made for a construction worker who actually works on his feet. I have used them for a month and the sol is worn out. I used them for normal working conditions; ladders, carpet, tile, and concrete floors. No walking on rebar, no walking on floor joists, nothing that would damage the sol. I definitely would not recommend these boots unless you want to put them on a shelf and use them as bookends.

These boots have been holding up well over the 3 months my husband has been wearing them. The only complaint is they are very heavy.

This boot looks and feels very good when new, but the soles wear-out within a couple months, and the shoe laces are cut by sharp edges on the eyelets. The padding falls apart after a few months. This item is also sold as "Thorogood Men's Oblique Collection 6" Boot".
